The area is home to many bird species such as herons, cormorants, and ducks. A new birdwatching tower near Oćuša spring offers excellent views.
In August, the lakes host "Kup Sv. Liberana," a traditional rowing competition using lađa boats, which precedes the famous Neretva River Marathon.
The lakes are easily accessible via the D8 coastal road, offering scenic views along the way.
Regular bus services connect the lakes with major cities in Croatia.
